I've looked everywhere. I can't find a decent wallpaper that looks good in Ubuntu. The odd thing is, the ones that I have look fine in Windows. In Ubuntu, they don't look right. I don't use the GNOME Panel for icons, so I need one that I can have icons on top of. I'm kinda a nature freak, so it'd be cool to have a good selection of nature wallpapers. Does anyone have any links?

BTW - I've looked on the GNOME website. The wallpapers they have there are fine, but I'm looking for more selection.

System -> Preferences -> Art Manager.

I got some excellent gnome-wallpapers from there.

Also: themes, splash themes and lots more.

This is a fun way to do it. I'm not certain it is automatically installed. If you don't have this menu option then install the package gnome-art using synaptic or apt-get

For some beautiful modified pictures of nature see this page (http://www.vuni.net/). I have downloaded a couple of those and I think they work extremely well with Ubuntu (some better if you lose the brown default theme) ;)
