I don't know where the "internet phenomenon" of chuck norris originates; but if you were a young kid in the 80's living in the heartland of America, you probably heard at least one urban legend related to chuck's amazing martial arts prowess or physical constitution. Usually from some kid with a sleeveless denim jacket and a pro wrestling t-shirt.
