Hi :)
I'm trying to install Ubuntu 8.10 on my computer. However when I try and install Ubuntu my monitor displays the message 'out of range'; and the live CD doesn't display either. My monitors widescreen, and windows displays at 1152x864 (60htz)
Could anyone suggest how I can install Ubuntu?
Thankyou!

Hi and you can try and change the resolution under the F4 option and also use the alternate cd.

Thanks for your help :)
I've installed using the alternate CD and there were no display problems. I can now boot into Ubuntu, however as soon as the login page should display I just get a blank screen again. I can change to a terminal window (Ctrl + F*), but the actual GUI doesn't work. Any ideas?
Thanks again!
