I've been using Ubuntu for 4 days if that counts as a milestone ;) I've been using Fedora / Red Hat on and off for a long time now and have been on Fedora solely for a couple of years. But just recently I was getting a bit sick of having to go round the houses to make things work and generally with the instability of Fedora. So I chucked an Ubuntu disk in the drive, fired up the LiveCD and found that everything just worked out of the box :) So 30mins later I'm an Ubuntu user!!

I have been using Ubuntu since 5.04, and other distros slightly earlier, so it is probably around the 5 year mark

It's probably somewhere around the square 6-month mark for me (both Linux/Ubuntu)

I've been about 7 months in the Linux world.

Ubuntu 4.10 was the first Linux I tried. And I registered to the forums after a few days of trying it. So it is nearly 4 years for me :)

uhm, I installed Ubuntu exactly 1day and 59 minutes ago if that counts.
I used to use it a long time ago, it's better than XP, but still not for me. thus my everlasting quest of finding my perfect OS continues, trying to virtualbox Arch right now to see if I'm capable of installing it.

grats me!

Been using Linux exclusively now for 18 months. Dual booted with Windows before that. Decided to make the swap complete when Feisty came out, and haven't looked back since.

Congrats on your five years OP!

I've been using linux as a sole OS since October '99, which makes it just over 9 years since I started with it.

I've got about 1 month and it will be 1 year. Is there a 12-step program for this?:P

Yes, I just celebrated five years. Dec 2003, I bought a Linux configured PC from Walmart online. $200, best deal ever. No dual boot or partitioning.
Still none and running Ubuntu 8.04. No hard drive maintenance and great security.

I'm about two months away from my four year mark, although I'm not sure exactly what the date was. I just know I first installed Debian on my home computer in February 2005. I switched from Debian to Ubuntu that October.

However, I'm ashamed to say that I didn't switch to Linux as my primary OS until July 2006.

Wow, so you were what, 9 years old when you first switched ;)

Sigh... you know you're getting old when your kids' headmaster looks like he should still be in highschool.

I'm not good with dates or remembering things, but I'd say it's been a couple years.
