I've been trying for the last few hours to install 8.10 inside windows to a slave drive.
My question is how to install it inside windows?
As I try I keep getting 'could not access the Cd' error.
Cd works on the reboot install to which i would rather not create another partition on the master drive.

Any help rendered is much appreciated.

'inside windows'? you mean wubi?

explain the reboot/access CD error

can you boot the live cd and can it detect the slave drive?

By inside windows i mean while windows is running.

It is not the reboot that errors, the access CD error only happens when I try to install to a different drive.

During the install phase through the reboot it does not give me an option to install to any other drive then the master.

"During the install phase through the reboot it does not give me an option to install to any other drive then the master."

You need to use manual install to do this.

Thanks for the help, I did finally get it to install the way I wanted to do it through a round-a-about way.
Extracted the files out of the ISO and ran Wubi to do the install.

Thank you very much for the help.
