Hi I am trying to get a dual boot (xp,ubuntu) up and running. I have two SATA hard drives, No RAID. I put XP on one hard drive no problem. Put Ubuntu on the other along with GRUB. If in the BIOS I boot from the xp drive it loads XP fine. If I change the BIOS top boot from the other drive I get the grub menu but if I select xp or Ubuntu neither work. I will start with the XP. I get error 13. If I use the "e" option the commands look like
root(hd0,0)
savefault
chanloader+1
I am a newbe to grub and Ubuntu and if some could help me I would be greatfull
