View Full Version : [ubuntu] Unexplained wireless failure

Okay, here's a good puzzle for you.

For some reason I've not been able to work out, my wireless which has worked flawlessly until recently will now work fine for a while, and then just stop.
It seems to happen especially quickly when I try to use bit torrent.
I've tried to restart the wireless and networking through the GUI networking tool, and through the terminal. When I try through the terminal with the following command

sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
it says it's

Ignoring unknown interface wlan0=wlan0.

The only way I can regain my wireless internet access so far has been to restart the computer totally.
Annoyingly I've been through the various system logs that I'm aware of and not a one of them mentions anything about wlan0 or whatever stopping.

Can someone help me please!
