id_dsa file with keys, error about privacy and passwords when using ssh

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04 from version 6.06. But now, when I try to use ssh, I get this dialog:

I keep typing in my password, but it does not work. Then I try the root password, and that does not work. What password does this thing want?
