Hi,

i have a an old 500Mhz computer with 80GB HD, 512MB and trying to install Ubuntu 8.10 from 386 32 bit iso which was downloaded from your site and burned on a DVD.

changed boot sequence in bios to CD.

Problem is that this iso is not booting...

I had Windows XP previously with SP2 and had zero problems. Now i wanted to change to Linux but never get it running.

Thanks in advance,

Regards

Does your machine boot directly into windows or do you get an error message about the CD?

Make sure you burn the ISO image as an image file, not as a data file. In other word, if you view the CD from windows, you should see a bunch of files and directories instead of one large that file you have downloaded.
