Power cord broken

My power cord has magically stopped transfering power to my computer, and is emitting a strange beeping noise. I have 10 minutes of battery remaining or I would have navagated to the appropriate forum. Anyone know how to fix this?

Came with my laptop. I found a temporary fix, but Id like my old cord lol. Change bothers me.

Its 11, luckily my dad is a computer nerd and had some spare cords lying around. I exchanged the upper half of my cord for one of the fifty he had in a box lol. I guess I dont need to fix it now, thanks for coming to my aid tho.

If your laptop is still under warranty, you can get a free replacement power supply from the manufacturer.
