Hello all,

I've got an issue on my netbook when the minimum size of the application is taller than the screen size. when I click any where on the app, including the window manager part it will move the app so the bottom of it sits on the bottom of the screen, and a second click will shunt the app the opposite way. this makes it almost impossible to use most apps. Im fine with having to move the app around my self when needed but how can I tell gnome to stop it?

Thanks in advance

Charles

You want to configure Compiz to disable windows sticking to edges (I don't remember the name of the plugin, haven't got Compiz installed. Sticky Windows?), and also disable Constrain Y in the Move Window plugin. Then you just need to practice Alt-mouse dragging your windows outside the desktop area confinement when you need to access hidden parts. :3

And perhaps file launchpad bug reports to get developers to add sliders. Or write patches and submit them to the maintainers, if you have the expertise.
