Here's the link of the tutorial I am reading. I find it on the kdevelop website.

http://www.beginning-kdevelop-programming.co.uk/

The problem I am having is I can't get Kdevelop to compile anything. I'm trying to find a IDE to learn because gedit isn't enough. I know this stuff isn't hard, but I can't guess at what I am suppose to get a program to compile.

Why? What exactly are you doing? The process? The error you get?

And on the off chance you haven't already, install the 'build-essential' package.

I've been doing some reading, and I figured it out, its a problem with 8.10. And 8.04 works fine.
