Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone had any helpful links they could give me. Basically, I want to reaaallly get to know Ubuntu, and understand it like I understand Windows. I want to get familiar with the file system and know the infrastructure. I just want to do everything I can to become familiar and comfortable with Ubuntu. Soon I will be deleting Windows and using Ubuntu 100% of the time, and I want to be prepared.

Muchas gracias.

http://ubuntuguide.org/ is for 5.04, correct? Would the questions on that website still be relevant to 5.10?

Also, would reading the following book be of any use? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0764576445/qid=1134342395/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/002-0756930-0269611?n=507846&s=books&v=glance

Well if you go to http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/0764576445/ref=sib_rdr_zmin/002-0756930-0269611?p=S00U&j=1#reader-page it looks like something you could read, rather than just use as a reference.

Go for it. I've found just about anything helpful--trial and error, reading books, reading webpages, searching forums, posting questions...
