Okay, I've put my website on the net and have put in meta-tags, to boot. All the search engines picked up my site except for google, which is understandable since google is more influenced by pagerank.

But, what I can't understand is why a certain page of mine shows up with a title that matches my title tags and a description. This certain page I've made is just a template I've displayed in the "my work" section of my website.

Why is it showing up with a title and everything, while the rest of my site only gets

Oh, and here's a link of the page that gets the royal treatment: http://thehiddengrotto.com/new
I put this page up within the last few weeks too. What's even weirder is that it's two links away from the homepage and navigation section (which i'm guessing would make it harder for the crawlers).

is your robots.txt set to ban all? that would do it since if they cant get in then they wont list you :)

Stupid question, but is the robots.txt an apache config file? Or, is it just a meta tag? I haven't used any robots.txt file, but the "new site" page shows up with a title on google and it's in the main directory, just as everything else is.
