I'm looking for a notes app that can sync between my desktop and notebook PCs. Any suggestions?
I tried tomboy but was unable to make ssh sync work.
The notes app I like best is Xpad but that doesn't support sync.
Thanks :)

I've never tried this one other method, but if you don't mind using third party software/services you could use Dropbox (http://www.getdropbox.com/) to sync your tomboy notes. Basically, if you installed Dropbox on your desktop and laptop, you'll have a shared folder that automatically syncs your files. Then from there, you could configure tomboy notes to save the files on the Dropbox shares (http://www.cimitan.com/blog/2008/10/11/syncing-tomboy-notes-with-dropbox/).

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the idea. I would prefer a way to sync without having an internet connection.

On a side note, what is the local folder sync for? I can't see the point of syncing your notes to a local folder when as a matter of fact they are already on a local folder on ~/.tomboy It sounds pretty useless to me.
