Hey all, I just got a Dell Latitude D600 that came with Windows XP Pro installed on it, and I'm having some problems setting it up to dual-boot. I used the 7.10 live CD to install, and set the main partition size to 24 gigs (it's a 40 gig drive, I heard Windows needs about 5 gigs since I don't use it for much).
The installation went through without any errors, the machine rebooted fine, and XP is still working from the Grub menu with no problems whatsoever. I thought the main install wasn't working at all at first, but apparently it just takes forever to start running. I'm planning on stripping some packages I don't need, like Bluetooth, in an attempt to get it booting faster; is there anything else I could do to speed up the process?
