I have an Acer Aspire 6930 with an HDA Intel soundcard. The headphone output volume is controlled by the "suround" slider on the ALSA mixer. When I first installed that worked fine, but now every time I restart (or log out) it defaults to muted. This may not sound like a big deal but it really is aggravating and it would be great if someone knows a solution. Thanks!
