Hello all,

I am very new to Linux and have to be honest no clue whatsoever on what I am doing in Terminal or most of the desktop. I am hoping someone knows of a place where I can "download" a users guide that has commands and the uses and such in it. I have found a few online but they were not up for download and well lets face it I need to be able to sit and read it through and through. So if any of you can help me out with a url or two that would be most wonderful.

Thank you and happy holidays to all.

I've found this (http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:Intrepid). Hopefully, this can be useful to you. :)

Take care!

You could look at the man pages:

http://www.linuxmanpages.com/

Read about Bash shell

If you need to be able to sit and read it through and through, you're probably better of buying a book.

You could also check out these :

but if you're serious about learning to use linux, and especially terminal commands, you're gonna have to be in front of a computer anyway, so you might as well use the online documentation (online meaning both present on your computer, and on the web)
