Hi

I needed to install a version of unison which is not the latest one (2.13.16 instead of 2.27.57, which is the default); I know how to do this in synaptic by using "force version", but then at every update/upgrade the system offer to upgrade unison, which I don't want...

is there a way to keep that specific version once and for all (until further notice)?

thanks in advance
Lorenzo

In "synaptic package manager" hilite the package and do "Package > lock version"

UPDATE::.
I just seen you tried force version and not lock. I also seen a bug reported about this same issue:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/synaptic/+bug/63777
I don't know if that was ever worked out.

OK, with lock version it works in synaptic.

Unfortunately, I forgot to mark this thread as [kubuntu] since I'm using that, and the Adept Updater seems to ignore this setting of synaptic...
