In answer to your first question, I have tried both options via EasyBCD - using NeoGrub and pasting in the lines from menu.lst, and also just adding grub. I've tried to change c:\nst\menu.lst from within windows, but the changes aren't being reflected when I boot and choose the NeoGrub option. Have also tried editing \boot\grub\menu.lst in linux, but again the changes haven't been reflected. I noticed each time a backup(?) hidden file menu.lst~ has been created, which essentially represents the original version (i.e. what I'm seeing when I boot) - is this just default behaviour, or is this the reason I'm having problems?
