Bluetooth Audio

When are they going to finally make it easy to use my bluetooth headset for stereo listening without have to do this fix or that patch or use the terminal each time to connect? With 8.10 it at least pairs but that's it. This is the only thing keeping me from going completely to Ubuntu. There has got to be a code someone can write to fix this. And it seems important enough that a lot of people are having the same problem as I am.
Any thoughts about this
