It all depends upon what you want to do. I am finally making the switch from 32 to 64. There were issues with Java, for myself, that are now no longer an issue. I have seen many people have problems with Flash working but I have not had those problems.

32 bit could only see 3.3Gib of my 4Gib memory. Now, after installing the 64, the system sees 3.9Gib. There is a message about that when initially booting into the 64 that I believe will help that. I just have not paused the system to read exactly what it is telling me.

I have not seen any dramatic speed increase but I have not performed any system intensive tasks that will put a load on the system. I really only wanted to get the full effect out of my 64 bit mother board in whatever way that happens.

If you have space or additional hard drive(s) maybe you ought to load the 64 for a test drive on another partition or drive. That might help in your decision.

Assuming the processor supports 64 bit and you have 4 gig or more of memory, I'd go for 64 bit.

If you have less than 4 gig of memory, you won't have so much to gain.
