I can't seem to get the EMC2 preview window to display graphics correctly after installing. It displayed ok running on the live cd.

I ran EnvyNG and selected the ATI option. It downloaded and installed everything ok. Everything looks ok graphics-wise. The enhanced window functions seem ok.

When I run EMC2, the preview window that looks like all vector graphics blinks and goes away most of the time. If I am moving an axis where the window is updated frequently then the graphics are there but will dissapear.

This looks like an Opengl, video overlay or some type of video card config issue though it could be a problem with EMC2.

Any ideas? xorg.conf options?

I ran EnvyNG because I was having a problem with GARTSize errors. Those errors are gone.

I fixed this by removing the visual effects. I guess I need a faster graphics card? This is an ATI 9550 and I don't remember it being that old.

Thanks for viewing.
