View Full Version : [ubuntu] 6.06 LTS server failing to reboot after update

I have a 6.06 LTS web server which I built for my school a couple of years ago. I shut it down to clean out dust build-up and when I restarted it it failed to boot. After mounting the raid drives and the activating the LVM, it comes up with the Busy Box shell prompt (see attached image).

I presume it has something to do with failing to recognize the filesystem on the volume group.

A couple of weeks ago I had been running updates in readiness to plan an upgrade to 8.04 LTS as I need PHP 5.2 to support the forthcoming Moodle 2.

Any suggestions? I'm really not wanting to rebuild the server to sort this out.

Thanks and cheers.
