So I am playing around on 8.10 and I wanted to use tasksel to remove samba. i unchecked the box, pressed return and WTF!! It starts to remove ubuntu desktop packages. I upgraded to 8.10 from 8.04 via network distro update. The first package that tasksel removed, naturally, was my network manager. Can anyone help me to restore my desktop package to pre-SNAFU?
