Cannot save any data to my LDAP address book from Intrepid using Kmail

[robolinux]

In Intrepid Ibex running any email client I cannot save any data in LDAP address book records. It gives no error messages after clicking apply and ok.

I know my LDAP server works as my wife is running Gutsy and has no problem saving to the LDAP address book from Kmail.

Please advise

I have also tried Evolution and Thunderbird and cannot access the LDAP address book.

Please help.
