Buenas gente, Mark Shuttleworth (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Shuttleworth), el fundador de Cannonical, envió este mail a la lista de desarrollo de ubuntu:


Hi folks

As part of our work on desktop experience and design, I'm collecting
screenshots of desktops in action. Please send me yours! Feel free to
send two or three, with browsers open or email clients or chat windows,
anything. I'm interested in seeing the diversity of wallpapers, themes,
panel configurations, window layouts in general use.

By and large I think I can promise to keep these confidential but I
would rather not have any sensitive info just in case. We will use these
for mockups to test different ideas, and if one of those mockups got
published I would not want to cause a problem for anyone!

I specifically am looking for screenshots that are all the same size so
we can test ideas against multiple desktops simultaneously. I think
1024x768 is probably the most widely used size of screen on laptops. I
don't mind screenshots of desktops in other sizes (they may be quite
useful) but having 10 or 20 shots in one size would be more useful right
now.

Asi q para los q tengan buenas ideas, ya saben, le pueden enviar capturas de pantalla con el escritorio "en acción"...

me parece llamativo el pedido, pero resluta muy extraño.

so we can test ideas against multiple desktops simultaneously a la hora de tratar imagenes lo menos importante es el tamaño un batch lo soluciona muy facilmente, pero tratar multiples desktops simultaneamente... no se que tecnología usara pero no me suena nada.

No es por nada (bahh en realiadad es por mucho), pero me parece que el SABDFL tiene una pequeña idea de lo que hace

No se lo del batch, lo que me parece rarisimo, y quizas, no se, hasta rayano en la humildad, es que los pida.
Sera por una cuestion legal?

Porque, como bien dice c4d0rn4, en images.google.com, o, sin ir mas lejos, el thread mensual de screenshots (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=998330) tiene un trafico infernal, y esta lleno de gente obsesionada mal (pero mal de verdad ;) ) posteando a lo loco screenshots con modificaciones, tweaks, showoffs, wallpapers propios, etc.
