Hi,

I made a clean installation of ubuntu 8.10 on my Dell Latitude D800. I'm trying to activate wireless driver through "System" -> "Administration" -> "Hardware Drivers", i click on "Broadcom B43 wireless driver" and then click activate. It don't download anything and don't appear any error message.

What can i do to install the wireless driver?

Thanks in advance.

Are you are trying to connect to the internet using your wireless card? If the wireless card isn't working you certainly won't be able to download any drivers for the hardware.
Connect to the internet using an ethernet cable if you aren't already.
Personally I found the broadcom wireless card useless, giving 1Mb-2Mb/sec connections. I replaced mine with an Intel Pro Wireless 2200BG. It works great and does not require proprietary hardware drivers.
