How to install mysql server 5.1 on ubuntu 8.04 by apt-get?

I have the same question. Is it possible to install mysql-server-5.1 on Ubuntu 8.04 (x86_64) using apt-get? Is there a hardy repository out there with mysql-server-5.1 on it? When executing apt-get install mysql-server-5.1 I get:
E: Couldn't find package mysql-server-5.1

Is this in the works? I can't seem to find any information on running mysql-server-5.1 on Ubuntu beyond a few bug reports. I guess I'll have to do a manual installation using the .tar.gz file from the MySQL download site. If you have any information on running mysql server 5.1 on hardy, please share! Thanks.
