This afternoon an update notice came to this computer. I installed the update and all seemed to go normal for a few minutes. Until I opened Firefox. One of the updates was related to Firefox if I remember correctly. When I opened Firefox tracker search tools started popping up on the screen. As soon as I shut them down more would pop up and finally Evolution mail started opening. The system was overloaded and I had to hard boot the thing and reboot in XP. How can I use command lines to restore Ubuntu to the before update state OR change settings so this will not happen? I hate having to hit the switch like that on this old computer. I couldn't even logout using ctrl,alt,F2. If you need more information I can try to supply it.
