Long time reader, first time thread-starter :)

I would like to give my folks their first Ubuntu box for Christmas. They are hesitant to move away from Window to Linux due to how it "doesn't look legitimate". They only surf the net and use Picasa, so what I'd really like to do is configure a system for them so that, after I configure it and turn it off, the next time it starts up, they are prompted with an account creation screen.

What steps/applications would I need on the machine to make this happen? Whenever you unbox a "store bought" computer there is usually something similar to this process, ie create an account.

Thanks for you help!

Perhaps do an oem installation from an alternate install cd
