Is there one?

If not could we think about setting up an E-Learning package to allow members of the community to teach each other and esp the newbies about general ubuntu use and maybe even some of the main packages like OO, Scribus, Nvu and Gimp things that would be usefull in migration from a Windows enviroment to linux.

Any one agree, or know if we have one hidden away somewhere already...?

Isn't that what this site is, essentially?

I agree. However the idea of a school is a good one. Some users do feel they can't post because there questions are just to silly. If there was a school it would be easier. But yes this site is essintially a school.

No im not talking like a forum type exchange of information but more a knowlege base (like the wikis) but with some E-learning apps you can actauly have online classes, with a chat room etc and downloadable matieral for refrence. So people can do live lessons in things and get a bit more hands on...

Plus all that would be archived so it would be like reading the wiki with the disucssion tagged on, could provide an intresting way of allowing self help for the noobs and learning new tricks in real time for the old hands at ubuntu?
