I asked this question over in the Kubuntu Forum, but traffic is slow and I haven't gotten an answer yet, so thought I'd try here.

I'm running Kubuntu 8.04, and the thread in the Kubuntu forum guided me through to successfully activate the Nvidia driver, but not how to tell which driver version is installed and in use. To activate, they had me use:

Kmenu >Applications >System >Hardware Drivers

How do I find out what driver isinstalled and in use?

Thanks!

If the Hardware Drivers window doesn't tell you, you could search for Nvidia in Synaptic and see which one is installed.
Also, if you tell us what card you have, we could probably tell you which driver should have been installed for it.

Thanks Sam!

I'll try Synaptic. The card is an Nvidia GeForce 5200.
