Hi,
i've installed Ubuntu on my Lenovo Y410. To connect to Internet i've followed the given steps:

(being connected with LAN wire)
System-->Network-->Unlocked, then

Step 1: Select Wired Connection. Then Disable roaming mode in the check box.

Step 2: Selected the Static IP in the drop down.

Step 3: Use the following addresses

IP adderess : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Subnet Mask : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Gateway : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Pressed OK.

Step 4: Selected the DNS tab. Enter the following OPEN DNS.

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

After all this I am not able to PING any URL.
I've already tried network using command-
sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

i got OK status, but all in vien...

So, any idea what I am missing to do?

Thanks!
