Cairo dock and intrepid

I installed intrepid and put cairo dock on it.
However when i go into the dock i can't configure it anywhere as near as well as i could on hardy (both 64 bit)
I'm trying to change the way the launchers open up and the only option i can choose is default, but if i click preferences i can adjust the preference for carrosel, slide, curve, etc, i just can't use them!
Is there a solution to this as i used to love my old set up but its not the same without curve.

Hi matey, try enabling the rendering, you'll find it under applets. That should do the trick. I'm having usge difficulties with cairo dock in intrepid.... what happened? Won't pop up when hidden under windows (even with the parameters set correctly), and periodically appears at the top, or middle of the screen for now reason. Anyone with thoughts on this?
