Guidelines could be more explicit?

It could be made clearer to the users what is and isn't permitted outside of the Backyard. This thread (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=539295#post539295), for example, would suggest that political discussion is forbidden outside on the rest of the forum, but this is not made clear at all in the forum guidelines or CoC as far as I can tell.

I think this is very closely related to the above item filed by Azz. I see you've tried to comment there too.


As a part of the resolution for that item, it's already agreed that a set of guidelines will be written. Is it OK to close this item for now, and if you're not happy with the new guidelines written then re-open a request?
