Python plasma thoughts

I was wondering. I have seen programs like amarok be able to integrate plasma into the program so to make it easier to add applets later. I'm sure it was compiled with libplasma, but is libplasma only useful if making a c++ app? Can this, or another similar lib, be used for other languages like python? Can plasma then be hosted in a python app or is c++ still needed?

I saw that, that is for making plasmoids written in python, I was looking for making a program that could load plasmoids written in anything(python c++ etc). Unless I read it wrong, I do not see that there.
