Forget/delete this post, found answer at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=855511

I'm currently running Ubuntu 8.10 64bit as my laptop (Lenovo w500) has 4 gigs of ram, otherwise only 3 gigs show in 32 bit. This was fine as most of my work was in vm's but lately i've been tasked with some Flex sdk stuff and being in 32 bit would greatly help (getting staff enviroment's set, etc...).

Is there an easy way to enable PAE while installing or immediately after a fresh install of Ubuntu? It's not a problem of getting flex sdk to work in 64bit it, it does with enough prodding (more builder's issues) but more getting all 4 gigs of ram to show up in 32 bit mode.

Thanks
