You can change your name:

If you are german:
oben in der Leiste auf System klicken dann Systemverwaltung dann Benutzer und Gruppen

You can change your username although sometimes this can result in undesirable effects (which can be easily fixed). I personally would do it whilst logged as a different user and make sure that the user whos details you want to change is not logged in. You can use the User and Group management GUI tool or use the CLI. If you'd lik to do it from the CLI, post back for detailed instructions.

WAhat ever he said ...

But no need to reinstall your system.

There is no easy way to change it and it is not reccomended.

The best way is to create a new user gie him full privileges with the name you want log into that one, transfer anything you want from the other user fodler and delete the other account :)

Have you tried using the User and Group management tool (under System -> Administration). Another suggestion was to create a new user and copy your files to that new account and then delete the old one.
