Dual screen's

Im going to be putting a fresh copy of Ubuntu 8.10 onto my Dual screen system (Nvidia GPU) but wanted to check first if there are any real support issues regardin dual screens with Ubuntu

depends on the model of your gpu. anything before 7000 might have issues, anything after is likely ok. My 4400 ti can do dual screens with some fiddling, but my 5500 can't.

worked a treat with my 7600gs but if you have one screen at a diffrent rez from the other it dosnt work too well.

Thanks for the info, my cars the 8800 GTS and i know it copes with it fine on Vista but now that im switchin this sys to Ubuntu i just wanted to check :)
