Hey,

I'm looking for a simple, first person shooter that I can play online.

My pc ain't too good, so if I try anything like Nexuiz, or Alien Arena, they just close.

Something simple, like the old dos game Wolf3d, would be cool but I want to be able to play it online.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

OpenArena will run fine on your machine. There is a Linux version of UT2004 that should too.

Nexuiz and warsow are also a good time. Nexuiz is available from the repositories.

Warsow is neat. It reminds me of the classic PS2 game, XIII (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XIII_(video_game)).

Although pretty different from most other FPS's BZflag is loads of fun and runs great on lower end systems.

Haha, did you even read the OP?

+1 for Urban Terror. Turn down the settings and you should be OK.

quake 1 and 2 are your best shots then. they have both linux clients. you just need to obtain original data files.
