missing system tray in kde4

I tried to post this earlier but it hasn't appeared - I think that inadvertently I may have used some words that night be offensive to some of you and that it might have been blocked, so please excuse me if this gets duplicated.

I managed to erase the system tray and menu (2 clicks without reading the message) in KDE4 ( I'm running 8.10).

Can any one tell me how to get it back?

I have Gnome working, so I can get access to any files that need changing.
