Hi guys,

Was wondering how to go about getting thumbnails for my avi and mkv files (etc..) when browsing through video files in Myth... they all appear with a basic folder looking icon..

You can assigne a Poster in the video-manager. E.g. you can even look this up in imdb.

Can myth do this on it's own? The way nautilus/dolphin do?

Try using the TVRage updater script I have here (http://mythkiwi.com/index.php/remository?func=select&id=3). It is a collection of scripts one of which will automatically grab a screenshot of your video and save it as a thumbnail.

I assume you're talking about having preview pictures of your videos under MythVideo, in gallery view (and posters in other views). There is a recent thread about exactly this [here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=938760)], see my post there in particular. It's as complicated as downloading / unpacking a script and running it every now and then (or adding it as a cron job).

Awesome thanks for that, that makes it a little easier!
