The USB installer provided in 8.10 will only work with the original Ubuntu CD or an iso image of it. Does anyone know of a way to use it with remastered Ubuntu CD's? For example how does it know it is not the official CD or image? It is not the .iso name because I have tried changing the name of the custom iso to make it the same - so it could be a specific file it looks for on the disk? Any suggestions gratefully accepted. I can easily do this with Unetbootin but it doesn't create a persistant folder to allow you to save changes. I know this can be achieved manually but I am looking for an automated way to achieve this so I can enable blind and partially sighted users to burn an accessible remix of Ubuntu onto a USB pen without having to go through such a complex process.
