When trying to install Ubuntu 8.10, the CD usually crashes, or just restarts my computer without warning, usually around the time I'm partitioning it.
The one time I actually got it to install, the screen faded away at the end, then I guess it tried to start Ubuntu from the hard drive, but the graphics display failed (the screen flashed for a while, then an error came up that the graphics display had crashed 6 times in the last 90 seconds). When I rebooted my computer, grub gave me error 17.
Any help, please?
