I am looking for a laptop for Christmas. I need it to math these specs

2 GB RAM
256 Video memory (Preferable 512)
Preferably with keypad
Looks do not matter
HDD space does not matter. My 100 GB drive is hard enough to fill with all my media on my server and iPod so anything that comes default will be fine
2.4 GHz Processor
Bigger than 13" display

no system 76. No video card for a good price.

Keep it under $1300 USD

Check Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=32&name=Laptops-Notebooks)

One of those Asus', or maybe a Dell XPS, or a Lenovo T series?

I would go with a dell. Here are some great coupon codes:

Last time I checked you could get discrete graphics on the 1420 model (14") but not the 1525 (15"). If you want 15" + discrete graphics you have to go with a studio or XPS laptop.

I bought myself an Asus F8series for under $1300 that has:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T8100 @ 2.10GHz
2gb of ram
keypad included but integrated into the main keyboard(aka-you press a button to activate em)
Geforce 9500m GS 512 mb-vram
looks stunning too!(if you're taking it around, it's best to have a decent looking laptop)
250 gb of hard disk space
14 inch wide-screen :)

Cost me around $1200.

TIP: Get the holiday discount coupons, you might be able to get an even better laptop for a nicer price. :D

I have an HP pavilion dv6910us entertainment laptop that I got for $570 (including tax) on deal. It comes with vista, but is great with Ubuntu. Just needs some configuring, but I can help you there;). Look at saturday ads, there are usually good deals there. Just look at my sig for specs. Everything that is not in my sig is above what you mentioned (except price:p).

my Hp 60-120us meets those specs.

Ofcourse I didn't get the 1 year support deal. Or any of that extra bull crap that adds cost.

Anyways it cost me around 800.

Techbargains (http://www.techbargains.com/laptopcomputernotebookreview.cfm) is your friend. Most of these you can customize to fit your needs and still use the provided coupon code to knock off the total price. With your budget you shouldn't have to much trouble finding something that works. Hope this helps. =]

This one (http://www.techbargains.com/news_displayItem.cfm/146239) meets all specs(only 265mb gpu), minus the keypad.
