Have hardy heron installed....want to do a clean install of intrepid......but when i boot in with the live cd, i am getting either an install of the whole hard drive, re-install in a new windows partition or erase a free windows partition and install in it....

what i want to do is erase hardy heron and install or install over hardy heron.....please tell me how to do this....

sorry for no capitalization, typing with one broken hand... :)

Hi - I think Intrepid Ibex live cd has gparted.

look in system>>administration>>partition editor/gparted

If you cannot get gparted that way, download the iso from the Gparted website, burn to cd, and boot with it.

Using gparted you can delete your HH partitions.
