okular and other viewers

I'm looking for a document viewer that has the ability to add notes or highlight a document, similar to okular.
I would use okular, but it doesn't save the annotations, just the bookmarks.
Any one know of other doc viewers that have that ability?

I just tried this, and Okular did save the annotation for me. Then I tried a different PDF, and it didn't even let me put in my annotations. I have the "Obey DRM" set to off. I never use this feature, but it looks like it depends on the document.

User error. I can make annotations and save them in all the PDF files I've tested. I'm using Intrepid, BTW.

Since KDE 4.2, Okular has the "document archiving" feature. This is an Okular-specific format for carrying the document plus various metadata related to it (currently only annotations).
You can save a "document archive" from the open document by choosing "File -> Export As -> Document Archive".

I can see the data for documents in user directory $HOME/.kde/share/apps/okular/docdata
There is an xml fo each document seen by okular. Interesting approach...

Adobe has a reader version for Linux. It should cover all the options that you need. I use it when I get documents that need net access.
