Ubuntu Shutdown doesn't work

I have vista-ubuntu8.10 dual booting the problem is that I can't shutdown the computer from ubuntu-when I click on user/shutdown instead for the computer to shutdown totally it goes back to the dual booting--then I have to waite for window to start then I can shutdown the computer.
I have installed ubuntu via wubi.

Try the command below on your terminal:


sudo shutdown -h now

[hoboy]

Try the command below on your terminal:


sudo shutdown -h now

That has the same effect like user/shutdown it goes back to starting of dual booting
I never had this problem with 8.04
