Shocking evolution smtp password demanded

Please,

There is no way to send messages through Evolution because it ask for a password. I guessed this one was the same for pop (incoming messages) but it is not accepted and as a result I can't send messages. Please, any way to solve it?

Check your SMTP configuration (especially SSL & password mechanism). Check your email provider, maybe they DO use a different password to POP, although Id say its not that likely

Anyway, its not an evolution problem, I use SMTP fine with various accounts

if you are using a recently new hotmail account it wont work....i had to start a new account with google mail which will definately work for you
